Cape Town - Mother City Tour.

Module 1 -   (5 days / 4 nights)

Day 1
On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to your hotel/guest house.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Cape Town is a shopper’s paradise.

Cape Town is a city so rich in natural scenic splendour, that it is a never ending source of wonder and fascination.  Voted the top city to see before you die, Cape Town certainly ranks as one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

4 nights accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2
Morning tour of the "Mother City" includes a visit to the Malay Quarter and a cableway trip up Table Mountain. (weather permitting) Drive past the Cultural History Museum, St George's Cathedral, the Company Gardens and the South African Museum. Balance of day at leisure. An optional tour to see Kirstenbosch, which was established as a centre for the preservation and study of the indigenous flora of southern Africa and has over 5000 species.

Day 3
Full day Cape Peninsula tour along one of South Africa's most scenic routes.  Enjoy the dramatic views from Chapman's Peak Drive before reaching Cape Point where (by tradition) two marine ecosystems and oceans meet. Visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

Day 4
Full day Walk to Freedom Tour. "No easy road to freedom" was a central theme in most of the Mass Democratic Movement’s campaigns, from the early days through to the late 1980s. This tour offers a wealth of insight into South African history, visiting Langa, the oldest formal black township where you will have an opportunity to interact with the locals. Continue to Robben Island, formerly a political prison and a leper colony before that, this historic landmark was recently established as a museum.

Day 5
transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your onward flight.

Additional days can be added to visit the famous Cape Winelands. Indulge in the fruits of the ample vineyards set in picturesque, fertile valleys with dramatic mountain backdrops. Explore the history, architecture and culinary delights that this area has to offer.

Or, take a couple of extra days to explore the West Coast. Meander through the interior and explore the quaint towns that abound, each with their own charm and character. Accommodation is recommended at one of the many guesthouses or bed and breakfast establishments.
