Golf Tour - Cape Town and Winelands

Day 1

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by a representative of Africapass who will assist you with the collection of your vehicle from the car rental company. You will be given all your vouchers and documentation for your golf vacation. Drive to the city and check into the ArabellaSheraton Grand Hotel Cape Town. It is situated at the entrance to the historic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. This is an ideal location is within easy walking distance of Cape Town’s endless attractions, including a wide selection of restaurants, bars, nightlife, monuments, museums, shopping centres, the central business district, as well as the direct links to all the tourist highlights in and around this vibrant city.

ARABELLA SHERATON GRAND HOTEL               
Accommodation for 4 nights in a standard room on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2

After breakfast travel along the Atlantic coast to Milnerton Golf Club (approximately 15-20 minutes drive) This is one of the older courses in Cape Town and has wonderful views of the city with the backdrop of Table Mountain. It is a links style layout and wind plays a role in the severity and shot selection.

This afternoon we suggest that you take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain (weather permitting) for spectacular views of both the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, Robben Island and the city bowl.

Day 3
 
Today you will play at Steenberg Golf Club, nestled below Table Mountain in the southern suburbs. A modern style parklands course which will offers an enjoyable challenge to low and high handicap players. After golf visit the nearby famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 4

A day at leisure today and we suggest that you drive to Cape Point the romantic meeting point of the Indian and Atlantic oceans. En route you will pass through Muizenberg and the naval harbour in Simonstown, stopping at Boulders Beach to see the penguins. Return to the city via the awesome Chapman’s Peak drive, Hout Bay Camps Bay Clifton and Sea Point.

Day 5

After breakfast check out of the hotel and head toward the winelands and onto the Western Cape Hotel and Spa.

Accommodation in a standard room for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 6
 
The Arabella golf course is rated the best in the Western Cape and we suggest you play it this morning. In the afternoon drive to Hermanus a quaint sea side village with many restaurants and shops. It is also famous for watching the Southern Right Whales which calve and frolic close to the shore. (seasonal)

Day 7

It is recommended that you play Arabella Golf Club for the second time – this time you will be a lot better prepared and will enjoy it far more.

Rest of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the wonderful facilities on offer at the resort.

Day 8 

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and return you vehicle at Cape Town International Airport and board your return flight home.

Accommodation in rooms with private facilities as per itinerary.
Meet and greet at Cape Town Airport.
Group D Vehicle Hire.
Green/playing fees for 4 rounds of golf 
 1% tourism levy
 VAT at 14%

Meals not mentioned 
Items of a personal nature i.e. room service, laundry
Gratuities, porterages
Visas if applicable.
Travel, medical and cancellation insurance.

Africapass reserves the right to change the golf courses mentioned in the above itinerary should these not be available or in a suitable playing condition.

CANCELLATIONS:
Africapass undertakes to protect clients wherever possible from cancellation fees being enforced, however, as a general  rule the following conditions apply:
20% of total package price is non refundable
50% if cancelled less than 60 days prior to arrival in South Africa
100% if cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival in South Africa 

ALL PRICES ARE BASED ON APPLICABLE RATES AS OF TODAY, HOWEVER, THE ABOVE QUOTATION IS SUBJECT TO  
CONFIRMATION BY AFRICAPASS AT THE TIME OF BOOKING AND MAY BE AFFECTED BY AIR, FUEL INCREASES,  ACCOMMODATION AVAILABILITY OR ANY OTHER STATUTORY INCREASE BEYOND OUR CONTROL.
