DAY 1:  TUESDAY
Johannesburg – Blydepoort
07h30: Collection from Sandton or Rosebank hotels or any other hotel by prior arrangement
 
08h00: Depart from Johannesburg and travel across the rolling plains of the Highveld via the coal-mining town of Witbank to Dullstroom for lunch at the peaceful Critchley Hackle Lodge. Continue via Lydenburg, established in 1849, to the historical town of Pilgrim’s Rest for a fascinating glimpse of the alluvial gold rush days. Travel the Panorama Route via Bourke’s Luck potholes, to the spectacular Blyde River Canyon. The Blyde River Canyon is one of the most well known scenic attractions of Mpumalanga

DAY 2:  WEDNESDAY
Blydepoort – Winkler Hotel
Another chance to view the Blyde River Canyon and then travel via the Abel Erasmus pass which reveals panoramic views of the Olifants River Valley and includes the J.G.Strydom Tunnel. Continue to Hoedspruit and visit the famous Kapama cheetah centre, a unique cheetah breeding project and then onwards through beautiful countryside to your overnight stop

DAY 3:  THURSDAY
Kruger National Park
After breakfast enter the world famous Kruger National Park. You will spend a full day in the Park, game viewing. Kruger is the largest game reserve in South Africa. It is roughly the same size as Wales. It covers 18,989 square km (7,332 sq mi) and extends 350 km (217 mi) from north to south and 60 km (37 mi) from east to west. The Kruger Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa and the world. Established in 1898 to protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, this national park of nearly 2 million hectares, is unrivalled in the diversity of its life forms

DAY 4:  FRIDAY
Kruger National Park
A full day is spent game viewing in search of Africa’s 'Big Five', enjoying the incredible variety of flora and fauna in the Park, a host of other animals and prolific birdlife
Overnight: Rest Camp or similar - (Breakfast and Dinner)
 
Optional extra: Enjoy a night safari in an open vehicle – advance booking is essential
 
 
DAY 5:  SATURDAY
Kruger National Park – Johannesburg
 After an early morning game drive and breakfast, travel via Nelspruit and Waterval Onder back to Johannesburg; time permitting with a stop at the historic ZASM Tunnel and the Elands River Falls.
The tour terminates at approximately 1730.
Drop off at your hotel by prior arrangement or OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) - (Breakfast)
