The best known town of this region is Bela Bela (Warmbaths), famous for its Therapeutic mineral waters. It was named by the Tswana in the 1800s after the “water that boils on its own”. This is the gateway to the Waterberg Wilderness area which offers a fabulous bush experience. Its proximity to Gauteng (2 and a half hours), the absence of malaria and the excellent accommodation make it a sought after destination.
